On my good days, when I wake up I make it a habit of smiling and then hugging my knees to my chest and saying “I love you“. I pet my dog and feel real joy inside watching him sleep cuddled up beside me with his head on the pillow.
On my not so good days, all of that goes out the window. Maybe I’ve had a bad dream or didn’t get enough sleep and hear myself say “ooooh I don’t want to get out of bed”. On those days, I give myself a few minutes to feel what I’m feeling and see what’s going on. I then take a few minutes to go through my Facebook page and find something positive or funny to shift my energy to start the day.
