How do you start your day? Do you choose ‘light’ or ‘darkness’? Do you wake up complaining about all the things you have to do, or being grateful for the bed you slept in, the pillow under your head, the friends, family and love in your life?
Today, I invite you to choose light. Join me in affirming “I have a choice and I choose light”. This isn’t always easy though, I know. I remember one particular morning waking up and feeling dark. I replayed the conversation I had the night before with my husband and father in law about the renovations we’re going through. I went to bed feeling crappy and woke up the same way. And then I noticed what I was doing and stopped. I chose to stop the story going on in my head and picked a different one. One that made me feel better. For me, it takes practice.
Let’s start our day on a positive note. And when we wake up in the morning ‘feeling dark’, let’s find something that brings back the light. The way we start our day has an impact on the way the rest of our day will go. What are you going to choose?
