What does living your light mean to you? To me, living my light means living my purpose and being my true authentic self. We can get caught up in all the craziness of our day to day lives and forget (or not even know) what that purpose is.
I like to think of it like this. Everyone is born with a light that represents their true authentic self and their gifts. Your gifts are what you are innately good at, enjoy and when you are doing it, it doesn’t feel like work. When you believe in yourself and are using your gifts your light shines bright.
Is your light shining bright right now or do you feel like it’s gone out?
When your light goes out, it doesn’t feel good. Life feels hard and everything is an uphill battle. Sometimes, you don’t even want to get out of bed or go to work. Anxiety, stress and failed relationships become the norm.
So how do we turn the light back on? We need a spark. What lights you up? Think about that. What are you doing…who are you with…what makes you smile? What are your gifts and how & where can you start using them?
If you are having trouble figuring that out, grab a piece of paper and write at the top of the page “What makes me smile, feel good, what are my gifts?” And then let go. Whatever comes to mind, write it down. When you can’t think of anything, walk away. Leave it. Then, as you go about your day, you’ll start to notice those things that make you happy. Go back and write those down.
Join me and affirm “I was born to live my light” and start to notice what ignite’s your light!
Have a bright day!
